Company History

We have been writing software for a long time, in fact since 1984. Back then our name was McClain and Associates, based in the North-West suburbs of Chicago, IL. We started by developing custom business software using dBase and FoxPro. Since then we have move a little farther west to the Rockford, Il area and have expanded our focus from consulting to also creating products for download and purchase. This is when we updated our name to be BluggySoft. We have evolved with technology and currently specialize in SQL Server and .net technologies.
We are still a small company which continues to help our customers achieve their goals by carefully understanding their requirements, applying the proper development techniques, and following up with first-class support.

How we differ from other software consulting companies

We know there are many other companies which offer similar services. The biggest difference is our developers and designers. Everyone we work with is passionate about their field; it is not merely a job or a pay check. This is the number one quality we look for before they start on a project. For many it is a hobby or something they would want to do in their free-time. In other words we "dream in code".
Another big difference is our staffing model. We do not have high overhead costs because most of our developers work out of their homes and are signed on to a project as needed. In many cases our developers are willing to work for reduced rates because they are excited about the projects and want to get exposure to the latest technologies we use.

Training

Our developers stay current on the latest development trends and methodologies. We attend local and national conventions. We utilize both open source solutions as well as purchased components when building solutions for you.
